Putty Hill Garage Racing Team from 1952 to 1953

These photos are from the albums of Jim Bunty, who was a key member of the racing team at the Putty Hill Garage from at least 1952 to approximately 1964. Jim was drafted into the Army in 1953 and was discharged in 1955 so there aren't many photos from that timeframe.

Unfortunate Events

The number 24 car was originally built for Jim Bunty, a crew member on the Putty Hill Garage Racing Team, to drive; however, Jim was drafted into the Army to fight in Korea. His good friend, Reds, wrecked the car in a race before Jim ever got to drive it.
